In view of the recent news with the recognition by Russia, Monday evening, of the independence of the regions of Donetsk and Lugansk, in eastern Ukraine, is deterrence still possible?

“I think they are always possible, we continue to advocate dialogue and de-escalation, it’s really important and even essential for the future. But besides that, obviously, we are witnessing an additional step in this campaign of destabilization and disinformation that we have known for a few months.
