A lady living in the province of Liège won 4.5 million euros in the Lotto on Friday October 13, the National Lottery announced in a press release. The six numbers she chose allowed her to hit the jackpot.
The winner had registered her ballot at the Titi bookstore in Fléron. In order to preserve the anonymity of the winner, a symbolic check showing the amount of the winnings was given to the bookstore manager. This Fléron business has already seen lucky winners in the past, the latest having pocketed 181,673 euros in 2021.
The Lotto drawing game has been around for 45 years. The biggest gain dates back to July 5, 2014 when a person pocketed more than 11 million euros.
