Quinton Decock’s superb century (140 * off 70 balls) and skipper KL Rahul’s half-century (68 * off 51 balls) made Lucknow ‘super’. Both batsmen hit a total of 27 fours, 14 sixes and 13 fours. Ten of these sixes were born from Decock’s bat. Both batsmen have scored 61 runs in the last three overs. 27 in the 19th over alone.

Lucknow captain KL Rahul won the toss and elected to bat. After the toss, Rahul said the goal was to find the best total batted first. Krunal Pandya, Dushmantha Chameera and Ayush Badhoni will not play in the Lucknow squad. They were replaced by Manan Vora and Evin Krishnappa Gautam in the playing XI. Abhijit Tomar will replace Ajinkya Rahane due to injury in the Kolkata line-up.
