Lucas González’s mother tried to commit suicide, his lawyer said

The lawyer for Lucas González’s family, Gregorio Dalbon, reported in the last hours of Sunday that Cintia López, mother of the young man killed by the City Police, tried to commit suicide for the third time. The woman was taken to a hospital and is expected to be transferred to a mental health facility to continue her recovery.

“Lucas González’s mother cut her wrists with a cutter. Her youngest daughter found her. Peca (Héctor) her husband managed to take her to the Mi Pueblo Maternal and Child Hospital of Florencio Varela. Tomorrow first thing in the morning they will move her,” Dalbon posted on his Twitter account.

Around midnight, the lawyer added that the woman was in “critical condition“and that this Monday morning, when she is stabilized, they are going to look for a psychiatric center to transfer her. “I ask the politicians to help find a place for Cintia, since she is in a hospital that took her out of the emergency, but it is NOT psychiatric,” the lawyer concluded.

Speaking to Radio La Red, Dalbon called for the treatment and implementation of a mental health law for “these people who are destroyed when a child is killed”. Along the same lines, he noted that in public statements Cintia anticipated: “I want to go with him.” In this third suicide attempt, the woman was found by her 9-year-old daughter.

The crime of Lucas Gonzalez

Lucas’s crime was recorded last November 17, when the teenager and three friends left the Barracas Central club training aboard the Volkswagen Suran of the father of one of them and were intercepted by a Nissan Tiida car from the Lucas Investigations Brigade. the City Police, without license plates or signs of being a police officer, from which three armed and unidentified officers got out.

According to the evidence collected, the teenagers believed that they were thieves who were going to rob them, so they fled the scene, at which point the policemen shot at them from different angles. At least five shots hit the car and one of them hit Lucas in the head, who died hours later.
