Lucas Bergvall was signed from Djurgården to Tottenham in a huge deal last winter.
The Swedish super talent has subsequently impressed Tottenham’s head coach Ange Postecoglou. So big that Bergvall can get playing time when Spurs play for the first time against newcomers Leicester on Monday.
But it won’t be from the start.
What was reported to be a blue-yellow party with both Dejan Kulesevski and Bergvall on the pitch – turned out to be the exact opposite. They both start the match on the bench.
Both youngsters on the bench
The inner midfield in particular has been open to discussion in the Tottenham camp. Since before, Yves Bissuoma has been suspended from the club after he used nitrous oxide.
It has thus opened up the opportunity for the club’s two youngsters – Lucas Bergvall and Archie Grey, 18. But neither Gray gets the chance from the start.
