He believes he can sell another piece of land for hundreds of millions of dollars.

“I paid $23 million for the Briqueterie land in La Prairie almost four years ago and I think we will be able to sell it for between $700 and $800 million in a few years,” reveals the entrepreneur.

This land will become mainly residential land according to the businessman.

However, the sale will not happen right away.

“We are 10 years away from being able to sell it at that price,” he thinks.

Luc Poirier started buying land more regularly a few years ago; he told Pierre-Olivier Zappa that these investments are becoming more and more interesting.

“I’m like a farmer, I planted seeds and now it’s starting to pay off”

A collection of Ferraris

At the Montreal Auto Show, Luc Poirier will exhibit his Ferrari collection which is valued at nearly $50 million for all of his 40 cars.

“Unfortunately, in Quebec, we don’t have the chance to see these new “supercars” often. I want to show people that it’s possible to see this kind of vehicle here,” he said.

The businessman adds that Quebecers should be a little more proud of the men and women who succeed in the business world.

“You have to be proud to succeed. We must stop pissing on people who make a lot of money because it is thanks to people like me who pay a lot of taxes that the government succeeds in financing the health and education system. I will pay 60 million this year easily,” he emphasizes.
