LTOU announces two land lease auctions: the planned development of aircraft service hangars | Business

Two separate plots for rent in auctions occupy 11,200 sq.m. meters and 4700 sq. meter area.

According to LTOU representatives, the currently ongoing development is only the first step in bringing this area of the capital’s airport to life, as the total expected potential in this area is about 4 hectares, and there are a total of 6 separate plots for rent for various activities.

In addition to the leased plots at this stage, LTOU plans to create all the necessary infrastructure in the next few years, install new apron surfaces for aircraft movement, and also invest in the improvement of ground transportation roads.

“In our organization’s operational strategy, we have clearly defined that we aim to promote an attractive business environment at airports, to invest in the development of the necessary infrastructure. Analyzing the market, we plan new projects taking into account the needs of potential partners for business development, which in the long term guarantees airports not only income diversification, but also faster growth of non-aviation income. At the same time, we understand well that by developing this type of activity, we can attract new investments and promote the further growth of aviation traffic”, comments Gintarė Norvilaitė-Tautevičė, head of the Commercial Department of LTOU.

According to the manager, at this stage the two plots offered to the market will be leased for a period of 40 years.

The final number of participants in both auctions will be known on December 4, and the winners will be announced in the first quarter of 2025 after completing all necessary verification procedures.
