Lt General fired, 20 years in prison, money earned from bribes and land seized – World

A court in Saudi Arabia has sentenced the former director of public security to a total of twenty years in prison and a fine of one million riyals for abusing public funds, forgery and accepting bribes.

Arab News Agency reports According to the court, Lt. General Khalid bin Qar al-Harbi has been sentenced to ten years of imprisonment on the basis of abuse of authority.

He is accused of abusing his powers in awarding government contracts and seeking personal benefits. The court has given this punishment under the criminal law.

Similarly, bribery items like gifts received during employment will also be confiscated. Including agricultural land.
