A Russian nutritionist explained that controlling the level of cholesterol in the blood helps prevent many serious health problems, as reported by Russia Today.

Dr. Michael Ginzburg, a Russian nutrition expert, said in an interview with the newspaper “Vechernaya Moskva” that there are foods that help reduce cholesterol in the blood.

According to him, there are four groups of nutrients that help normalize the composition of the blood and maintain the level of cholesterol in the blood. These materials are:

Foods rich in dietary fibre. Attribute to these foods: whole grain bread, buckwheat, fruits, fruits and vegetables.

And he adds, explaining: Dietary fiber binds bile acids in the intestine and does not allow them to be absorbed, which forces the body to search for another source to obtain cholesterol cells. Thanks to this, “bad” cholesterol is converted into “good” cholesterol.

– Legumes, legumes have a similar mechanism.

According to him, legumes, in addition to a high percentage of dietary fiber, contain a special protein that contains fewer amino acids compared to animal protein.

Dairy products: Fermented milk products improve the intestinal microflora, that is, they have an anti-inflammatory effect in the body.

Foods rich in Omega-3, doctors attribute to these foods: olive oil, flaxseed oil, fish oil and fatty fish.

The expert stresses that these products normalize the composition of fats in the blood and contribute to lowering cholesterol levels.
