Le Soir revealed on Friday that the commission paid to banks for “Van Peteghem” State bonds, namely one-year State bonds with a withholding limit of 15% proposed by the Minister of Finance as an alternative to accounts traditional savings scheme, would be limited to 0.3%.
The Standaard, in its edition this Saturday, adds that three of the four largest banks in the country (ING, BNPPF and KBC) will not charge any commission, while Belfius, for its part, will take 0.1452%, for a minimum amount. 3.025 euros and a maximum of 24.2 euros.
The daily specifies that KBC never charges a commission for State bonds, whereas BNP Paribas Fortis and ING usually do, but will make an exception in this case.
We will also know next week the performance of government bonds.
