Love is War will end in November — Kudasai

In the latest issue of the magazine Young Jump it was confirmed that the manga written and illustrated by Aka Akasaka, Kaguya-sama: Love is War, will end with its chapter on November 2. The work will star on the cover of that day’s edition of the magazine, being one of the few occasions in which it will not be starring some gravure-idol (female model in swimsuit).

With this, the work will come to an end following seven and a half years of serialization, following having debuted in May 2015 in Japan. In the advertisement included in the magazine it was written: «Let’s see the love story between two people! Seven years of serialization, a long romantic comedy will finally be complete!». Finally, the magazine will include a twelve-page booklet to commemorate the completion of the series.

For its part, Aka Akasaka the publication of the manga began in the magazine Miracle Jump from the publisher Shueisha in May 2015, and moved it to the magazine Weekly Young Jump in 2016. The work has so far inspired three seasons of an anime adaptation, followed by an animated film currently in production by the studios. A-1 Pictures.
