The MOVEMENT to love continues to be promoted by Taman Safari Indonesia (TSI). Through photo and video competitions, TSI once again reminds us to appreciate nature and love animals.

“That is the message that we want to convey in this International Animal Photo & Video Competition (IAPVC) Satwa,” said Lies Yuwati, GM of Taman Safari Bogor in her speech when opening the event at TSI Cisarua, Bogor, West Java, yesterday.

It doesn’t feel like this IAPVC is already the 33rd time held at TSI Bogor. The theme this time is ‘Soul of the Wild’.

Bogor is the last city after Prigen and Solo. A prestigious event that continues to inspire and captivate animal lovers and photographers, it will take place from June 8 to August 25, 2024.

This competition promises to be an extraordinary exhibition of wildlife conservation and beauty efforts.

“Taman Safari Indonesia is very proud to hold this IAPVC as our commitment to recreation, education and conservation,” said Lies.

As an institution dedicated to wildlife conservation and public education, Taman Safari Indonesia continues to strive to foster a deeper appreciation of nature through initiatives such as this competition.

“We are so excited to see the incredible talent and passion that the participants bring every year. It’s not just about capturing stunning images. It’s about raising awareness for wildlife conservation and inspiring others to appreciate and protect our natural world,” said Lies Yuwati.

One of the differences in IAPVC 2024 is the new category, namely “Photo Enthusiast” which is aimed at participants aged 10-18 years.

This category aims for the participation of the younger generation in conservation efforts, instilling a love for and respect for animals from an early age.

Although the category is new and it is only the second day of the roadshow, the interest of the participants is quite high. Until now, the number of participants in the children and teenagers category is more than 150 people.

Over the past 33 years, the IAPVC has grown tremendously, attracting an incredible number of participants.

There is also a Social Media category that is open to everyone, not just professional photographers. In this category, everyone can participate and share their work on social media platforms.

Participants are invited to submit their best wildlife photos and videos, capturing the beauty and essence of animal life within the park.

The IAPVC competition is open to photographers and videographers of all skill levels. Entries will be judged by a panel of leading photographers and conservationists.

The jury for the 2024 IAPVC competition is filled with renowned figures in the field of photography. Among them are Arbain Rambey, a senior photographer known for his journalistic and documentary works, Regina Safri, a professional photographer with extensive experience in photographing wildlife and nature.
