French superstar Kylian Mbappe was third in this year’s Ballon d’Or award. Now PSG coach Louis Ntiqua has told Mbappe what he needs to do to win the next Ballon d’Or.
Ntiqua said if Mbappe is to win the Ballon d’Or, he will have to perform well with Paris Saint-Germain and France.
“In order to win the Ballon d’Or, apart from individual performances, Mbappe must also win trophies with the club and for the national team. He is trying to win as much as possible in Paris. He can do the same for France. I am sure he will win many Ballon d’Ors,’ Ntiqua told reporters.
Mbappe scored a hat-trick once morest Argentina in the final of the 2022 Qatar World Cup, but France missed out on the World Cup. The star was also unable to win the Champions League with French giants Paris Saint-Germain. All this put Mbappe behind Norwegian superstar Erling Haaland on the Ballon d’Or list.
Mbappe hasn’t had a great start to this season. Mbappe struggled to score in consecutive matches. But in the last few matches, the player has returned to his best form.
The player has scored ten goals and one assist from nine matches in League One. He also scored two goals in the Champions League.
PSG is currently in second place in the French league with 21 points from ten matches.
