In the 1980s, Louis Bertignac lived a story with Carla Bruni for four years. However, as he revealed to “Paris Match”, it is a story that might not be described as a love story. “I hope she will forgive me for this confession,” he begins. “Even though we lived together, I wasn’t really in love with her. And she was never crazy regarding me, far from it,” reveals the guitarist.
“I knew I was not in love with her”
“I think she would have liked to fall in love with me because I was a rock guitarist in a famous group, but she didn’t believe it more than that. Me, I knew that I was not in love with her. Which is even worse,” explains Louis Bertignac.
This will not prevent them from meeting once more, twelve years later, but for an artistic project. “When I made his record, twelve years later, water flowed under the bridge. We had met once more, she had improved as she got older. She was not a bitch with me”, reveals the one who produced the singer’s first album, “Someone told me”. And since then, Louis Bertignac and Carla Bruni have been “friends”.
