Louana evokes the thorny question of cycles on Koh-Lanta

Louana, candidate for this season of Koh-Lanta: the cursed totem on TF1, confided in hygiene during the adventure and notably evokes the question of menstruation in women.

A primary question. Since February 22, TF1 viewers have been getting to know the new adventurers from Koh-Lanta: the cursed totem. For this 23rd edition, the contestants of the game presented by Denis Brogniart flew to the Calamian Islands in the Philippine archipelago. The objective, to win as many events as possible, of course, but also to resist living conditions that are rudimentary to say the least, for 39 days, for the best of them. And if, this year, the production provided enough to raise their hut, because of the presence of snakes on the camps, some questions remain concerning the survival, that Louanaone of the candidates of this season tried to elucidate.

How to manage during the menstrual period?

In a question-and-answer session on her Instagram account, the real estate salesperson – who particularly impressed during the third episode, by winning the comfort test and thus becoming the red tribe team leader called Cadlao – revealed a little more regarding the hygiene conditions during the adventure. And, yes, if many competitors from previous years had already confided in the absence of soap, toothpaste or even shampooLouana was asked regarding how adventure women had to make do when they had their period.“Production provides what is necessary”, she confirms in her Story, tampons and sanitary napkins being actually available in a scrapyard.

An adventure like Koh-Lanta disturbs a lot

But Louana also made an interesting revelation regarding how the body reacts to such a lifestyle change. Jet lag, food deprivation… so many changes that are not without consequences: “IYou should know that an adventure like Koh-Lanta greatly disrupts the menstrual cycle. Girls no longer often have periods at all“, finally explains the candidate.
