It is an emblematic figure of French television who died on Wednesday March 2, 2022. Jean-Pierre Pernaut died at the age of 71 following fighting once morest lung cancer. “I thought it only happened to others“, had revealed the ex-presenter of the 13 hours of TF1 during an interview. Since the AFP communicated on his disappearance, a shower of tributes pours in on social media and on television. His wife Nathalie Marquay came out of her silence following posting a black square on her Instagram account. “He has always been strong. He always fought for his family. He didn’t want to let go“, she confided on TF1 the day following her disappearance. Her daughter Louvery present on social networks, also wanted to pay tribute to him.

A few hours following the announcement of the sad news, the young girl had returned a sober tribute to his father. Then this Friday, she wanted to thank all the French people for the messages of support that she had been able to receive before to praise the one she admired so much. “An incredible father who was always there for us, who gave everything to make us happy and that we lack nothing (…) We accompanied him until the last moments and it’s always hard to do…“, she wrote on Instagram.

Several small clips with a smiling Jean-Pierre Pernaut, dancing and enjoying life, are assembled. At the end, she takes the opportunity to thank everyone once more. “Thank you for all your support”, she writes to the million subscribers who follow her on this social network. She ends by addressing her “star”, as she mentions in the caption. “I hope you’ll be proud of me as much as I’m proud to be your daughter”she adds, upset by his disappearance.
