Lotto 6/49: he waits more than three months before claiming a $36 million jackpot

The winner of the very first Boule d’or du Lotto jackpot 6/49 waited for more than three months before finally deciding to claim the 36 millions $ that he earned last fall.

On October 29, Jean-Marc Poirier became the first lucky person in the country to obtain the Boule d’or combination, the new Lotto 6/49 draw method launched in September. This stroke of luck was obtained thanks to the automatic renewal of its participations in the lottery in the site of Loto-Québec, explained the company of State Wednesday.

However, far from rushing to claim his kitty, Mr. Poirier preferred to take the time to think regarding what he was going to do with his winnings. After allowing his thoughts to mature, he finally went to the premises of Loto-Québec on February 9 to collect the fruit of his stroke of luck.

The man residing in the Lanaudière region, however, did not prevent himself from having a little fun, in particular by letting his children glide that he might well receive an unexpected sum of money before long.

Mr. Poirier has also already taken advantage of his luck to buy a new car. He now intends to go on a trip, while continuing to indulge in his hobbies, including mechanics.
