Chico (41) has won the lottery once more. For the third time in half a year! This time a friend helped him to succeed.
“This time it wasn’t a note that I bought. My friend Apo gave it to me, »says the Dortmund millionaire. The two met when Chico came to Germany from Turkey. That was more than 30 years ago, as reported by “Bild”.
“We hit it off straight away, we played football together,” says Apo. They also went to school together. “Since then we have never lost sight of each other.”
Apo lives with his family in Lünen, a town north of Dortmund. Chico drives his friend from time to time, including in mid-March. In return, Apo wants to pay the bill at the gas station, but Chico refuses.
“I just bought two lottery tickets. Chico was allowed to choose one. It was actually just a little fun,” says Apo.
And since Chico was lucky once more. The gift note is worth 2,684.90 euros (2,675.75 francs). “I can’t believe it,” says Chico. The Dortmunder then gave the money to his friend.
However, the Dortmunder already has a lot on his record. He is said to have been in prison twice. “I screwed up a lot,” he said at the time to “Bild”.
According to the report, Chico is a former fraudster and is said to have been imprisoned for robbery. Because of his gambling and drug addiction, he has repeatedly robbed arcades.
