World stars and a lot of passion can be experienced this week and next at the Autumn Gold Festival in Eisenstadt. On Thursday evening, festival director and violin virtuoso Julian Rachlin delighted the audience with the Chamber Orchestra of Europe.

“He’s just happy and bathed in sweat, that’s the best tiredness there is,” said Rachlin following the concert, full of passion and enthusiasm. Together with the Chamber Orchestra of Europe he played pieces by Haydn, Beethoven and Brahms in the Haydn Hall of Esterhazy Palace.

The audience listened intently. Nobody dared to cough, said concert visitor Caroline Hilger: “It was tense, you might hear a pin drop. It was great.” “He has so much energy and joy and it’s just nice to watch Julian conducting and making music,” said the artistic director of “Oper im Steinbruch”, Daniel Serafin, following the concert.
