We already know the launch period of the next Intel Arc cardsbut this time it’s the turn ofASRock to show us its next Intel GPU. And yes that’s it, the company is no longer an exclusive partner to AMD. After entering the graphics card business a few years ago, the company was content to make AMD Radeon cards. From now on, this will no longer be the case. Indeed, the company has just announced a new model of graphics card: the Intel Arc A380.
The first Intel graphics card for ASRock
As we said, it is therefore the first Intel GPU that we serve ASRock, becoming one of the first brands to do so after GUNNIR and at the same time as MSI. Her name, Arc A380 Challenger ITX is therefore a model intended for ITX configurations (which can however be used in full-size configurations). ASRock announces that the model has factory overclocking with a clock frequency of 2250 MHz.

On the other hand, it turns out that the latter is higher in the real tests. Also, during a Furmark benchmark, the frequency hits 2300 MHz and goes up to 2450 MHz in-game. Interestingly, the frequency is the same on the GUNNIR Photon OC.

Regarding the TDP, ASRock has not communicated anything, but we note that the model has a single 8-pin connector. Finally, at full load the fan reaches 1683 rpm for a temperature of 85°C. In addition, the consumption of the card is 54.9W against the 75W of the reference TDP given by Intel.
Let’s move on to the various synthetic tests carried out on the ASRock card. Note that the 3DMark software considers that the kernel is invalid, because it is not finished.
Tests in gaming use
The company has also made available the results of tests carried out on various video games. Among these games, we find AAA as well as modern games. They use the DirectX12 API and are therefore optimized for the Arc architecture. This is a very important detail to clarify since on other games, It’s a pretty big disaster right now.. That may also explain why ASRock directly “tested” the card to present the benchmarks instead of letting neutral reviewers do it.
