Lost Ark will continue to fight against bots after a massive ban

Smilegate’s MMORPG landed in the West thanks to the collaboration of Amazon Games, which localized the game in different languages and adapted it to our tastes with subtle adjustments. Its launch was a success, so much so that it became the second most popular game in Steam history.

However, all of this has been marred by long queues which in recent days have become more bearable with the opening of new regions; there are still big connectivity issues and thousands of illegitimate accounts, mostly with bots.

Lost Ark won’t stop its fight against bots

After announcing the massive banning of more than a million accounts, Smilegate takes the floor to tackle the hundreds of bots that flood its game. The studio does not tire of fighting them and will put in place new measures.

Last Friday, we started implementing bot bans, targeting over a million illegitimate accounts. We know that this measure will not be enough to solve the problem and that bots are still present in the game, so we want to be sure that this is only one step in an ongoing fight.

After this first wave of massive bans, we continue to implement additional bans on a regular basis to remove more bots from the game. much more difficult game, especially at the current rate of their creation. These updates will soon be available in-game.
