On the night of October 4th, the developers of Lost Ark their plans for the rest of 2022. There are surprisingly two new classes and the largest raid in the MMORPG. We at MeinMMO summarize.
What exactly was shown? The roadmap shown gives an overview of the features that are all scheduled to appear in 2022. Exact details are not yet known for most things. Nevertheless, we now know, at least with cornerstones, what to expect in Lost Ark in October, November and December.
This includes new content for all player types, as well as events, new classes, new raids, outfits and more. Major balance changes to some of the key DPS classes have also been announced.
These are the plans: In the following we give you a rough overview with a schedule of what to expect in the next 3 months. Then we go into detail on the individual points.
October:
- A new event is coming to Arkesia with the “Mystical Abyss Raid”. It is aimed at players with Gearscore 1,302 and higher.
- The infernal level of difficulty for the Legion Raid Vykas from a Gearscore of 1,460.
- With “Achates Trial” a new form of guardian raids comes into play. It’s supposed to be particularly difficult.
- The Faster Leveling Express Event will continue and Season 2 of PvP Tournaments will begin.
- Arkpass Season 2 will also start in October, as will a Halloween event with new skins.
November:
- The Reapers as a new subclass of the Assassins.
- A new system to better manage the tripods on equipment. This update has been live in Korea for some time and is well received there.
- Major balance updates to equipment and classes.
- Improvements to your fortress and your own island.
- The “Mystical Abyss Raid” continues in November.
December:
- The conjurer as a new subclass of magicians.
- A new Express Event to help players get to a high Gearscore faster.
- The Brelshaza Legion Raid in normal difficulty and a practice mode.
- The Calligos Guardian Raid from Gearscore 1,490.
- New Chaos Dungeons.
- A hard mode for the Cube and Boss Rush in Tier 3.
- New skins with a Christmas flair.
- A whole new piece of gear is coming to Arkesia in the form of bracelets.
Crunchy endgame challenges are coming later this month
What is the Mystic Abyss Raid? In the new event you go into battle once morest the guardian Mystic. He once owned an ark and worked closely with Vaigrys, creator of the Wardens. The event itself introduces a new limited-time Abrgund raid, the Scale of Harmony.
The event and thus also the raid is accessible from Gearscore 1,302, but normalizes your Gearscore to the same level. So you actually have to know the mechanics of the boss and you can’t just level him up.
As usual, a dedicated dealer offers weekly rewards that you can exchange for Mystic kills. How exactly these look like is not yet known.
With Vykas through hell: You need a higher Gearscore for the infernal or “Inferno” difficulty level of the Legion Raids Vykas. You can only enter here from an item level of 1,460 and experience a real challenge.
Just like with Inferno Valtan, you don’t see how much life the boss has left. You can also expect more damage and other tricks from the new level of difficulty. Here you cannot overlevel the boss, as you face Vykas with normalized gear from the Book of Coordination.
Exclusive titles, achievements and buildings for your island beckon as rewards, with which you can really show off your skills.
What is Achates Trial? It’s just as difficult to continue with Achates Trial. This is a Guardian Raid that should be regarding as difficult as the Inferno difficulty levels of the Legion Raids. Here, too, there are titles and achievements to be won if you manage to defeat the particularly difficult Guardian Raid.
Your equipment doesn’t matter here either. You are normalized to the level of the Guardian through the Book of Coordination and cannot score with a high Gearscore.
The roadmap does not yet reveal which Gearscore you need exactly to face Achates Trial. But it is conceivable that you have to be in Tier 3.
New classes at the end of the year
Summoner coming later this year: With the conjurer, a subclass of mages, our version of Lost Ark has a very special story. Actually, the class was already in the beta, but was then canceled at the last minute before the release and exchanged for the Sorceress.
In Korea, however, the summoner has been in the game since release, which is why the decision caused confusion. Especially with the fans of the class who grew to love them in the beta.
Amazon promised to bring the class into play in 2022, following which the summoner became quiet. Well, at the last minute, the magician who works with elemental incantations is coming to Arkesia in December.
She relies on ranged combat and strong summons, four of which you can activate and use. This deals massive area damage to enemies.
Fan favorite comes as a surprise: In addition to the already released Lancemaster, the assassin class of the Reaper was also one of the fan favorites. This will appear surprisingly and outside of the normal cycle, also in 2022.
The swift assassin uses a dagger, speed, and cunning to convict her enemies. She uses clones of herself and dark magic while outperforming her enemies with sheer speed.
It’s surprising that it’s still coming this year, because Lost Ark actually sticks to the fact that a new class comes every 2 months. So everyone was only expecting the summoner in 2022. The fact that the Reaper is still appearing, and even in November, should make many fans happy.
New content for endgame veterans
The Greatest Legion Raid: Brelshaza is the largest and one of the hardest raids in the full MMORPG Lost Ark. The Commander of the Phantom Legion is coming to our version of Lost Ark in December and should really shake up the endgame.
She brings the usual loot options, but she also drops a whole new piece of equipment, namely the bracelets. They are considered jewels and improve your values, but cannot be engraved.
In the raid itself you go once more with two groups, i.e. 8. This is common with Legion Raids, only Kokul-Saydon makes an exception. It quickly becomes unusual with the scope of the raid. Because while all previous Legion raids only had 2 or 3 gates, i.e. sections, Brelshaza appears with 6.
The requirements for your Gearscore then increase every 2 gates. In normal difficulty you can access the first 2 gates from item level 1,490, from 1,500 into the next and only from 1,520 in gate 5 and 6.
In order to prepare you for the demanding mechanics, Brelshaza also comes with a practice mode in the lower Gearscore, similar to Kokul-Saydon. In the “Phantom Astalgia: Déjà Vu” you can already at Gearscore 1,430. There is less loot there, but you can learn the mechanics and prepare yourself.
New Guardian Raid for Endgame: The new bracelets are not only available from Brelshaza, but also from other content at a similarly high item level. A new level 6 Guardian Raid will also appear in December. You can defeat the thunderstorm beast from Gearscore 1,490 and then, from December, it will form the strongest Guardian Raid in the game.
Even more content: In addition to the Warden and Legion Raid starting at 1,490, there is more new content coming to Arkesia that will appeal to endgame players. There will also be new Chaos Dungeons in Südvern, from which you can also get the bracelets.
A new version of the cube and the boss Rush are also making their way into Lost Arkk. All playable from Gearscore 1,490. A whole range of new content for true MMORPG veterans is coming to Arkesia in December.
Neue Events und Skins
New events bring familiar content: Next to the new Mystic Abyss Raid and the express event already mentioned above, things are looking thin so far. There is no precise information yet, but it can be assumed that you will get new events that bring well-known mechanics.
It is conceivable that the express event will be further upgraded. New players are currently being made easier to get to Gearscore 1,415. With the high demands of the upcoming content, it would be possible for this value to be increased. However, there is no precise information on this yet.
Neue Skins: New outfits for your characters have already been announced. There should be new skins in the shop for Halloween and Christmas. What these look like is only partially known. In the picture above you can see a first preview of the upcoming Halloween skins.
Nothing is known regarding the Christmas skins yet, except that they are coming. Of course you can expect a cozy Christmas atmosphere, but there are no pictures yet.
Balance and tripod changes
What changes are coming? In November, the western version of Lost Ark will also get the Tripod update. With this, developer Smilegate significantly changed how exactly the tripods work in T3. So it’s not regarding your normal skill tree, but regarding the tripods that are on your equipment from Gearscore 1,302.
A new currency will be introduced and the tripod inventory will be revised. You can already see exactly what that looks like in Korea, where the update has been live for some time. A detailed summary on the subject can be found at including this reddit post.
Balance-Changes: Also coming in November is a major balance update for our version of Lost Ark. This affects not only classes, but also the set effect of the hallucination relic set. But there will also be changes in the classes.
Mainly affected by the changes are the classes Berserker, Destroyer, Scrapper, Soulfist, Lancer, Artilleryman, Sharpshooter, Arcanist, Gunslinger and the Machinist. This affects many gunners in particular.
How exactly these changes will look like is not yet known. In the past, Amazon hasn’t adhered 100% to the Korean version’s changes, so it’s hard for us to make a prediction here either. The only thing that will help for now is to wait and see.
What do you think of the roadmap? Do you like the plan for the rest of the year, or would you have preferred something else? What do you think of the surprise announcement of the Reapers? Feel free to write it to us in the comments here on MeinMMO. We look forward to your opinion.
