Lost Ark becomes the most popular game on Twitch

Despite being released in the second week of February, Lost Ark still surpassed League of Legends and GTA V in terms of viewership on Twitch, which makes its massive launch even more impressive.

Lost Ark’s record launch was the second-best in Twitch history, helping even star streamers like Asmongold break their own records.

However, as with New World, there were fears that those numbers would drop once the craze died down, and that definitely didn’t happen.

Indeed, Lost Ark continued to shine throughout the month of February, garnering millions of hours of viewing and hundreds of thousands of viewers, beating a few big names in passing to place at the top of the Twitch rankings.

Lost Ark had one of the biggest launches in Twitch history.

According to SullyGnome, Twitch viewers watched Lost Ark for 146 million hours in February. This game streamed for 2.3 million hours, averaging 220,000 viewers across all streams with a peak of 1.3 million viewers.

For comparison, the game has totaled 10 million more watch hours than League of Legends and 15 million more hours than GTA 5.

Even though the average number of viewers was only 20,000 more, the audience peaks were respectively double and triple those of the platform’s other flagship games.

The launch of Lost Ark was much more successful than that of New World.

The most surprising factor, however, is that the game has only been out for three weeks and has already toppled some of the giants which New World was a far cry from when it launched. end of September 2021.

It’s now going to be very interesting to see if Lost Ark can match that performance in March, especially as Elden Ring climbs the charts. Upon launch, FromSoftware’s new title eclipsed everything on Twitch, including League of Legends, GTA 5, and even Just Chatting.

See you at the end of March to take stock.
