After the cell phone was located by the State Criminal Police Office, the cell phone was finally found around 12 p.m. regarding two kilometers from the festival. A large-scale search operation was then started with more than 120 emergency services (police, fire brigade and ambulance). In addition to the many emergency services, the Upper Austrian police helicopter and a personal tracking dog were also deployed.
Finally, the youth was seen by the crew of the police helicopter at around 3:20 p.m. lying in a meadow at the edge of the forest. He was dehydrated and disoriented, but otherwise fine. After the first aid, the 16-year-old was brought to the Rohrbach Clinic by the rescue team.
