LOSC now have a clear picture of their Champions League campaign after UEFA published their schedule. Les Dogues, managed by Bruno Genesio, will begin their campaign on 17 September with a trip to Sporting CP. The first major home clash will be against Real Madrid at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy on 2 October, followed by another high-profile clash against Juventus on 5 November. Lille will play mainly at 21:00, with a notable exception on 11 December when they will face Sturm Graz at 18:45. The group stage will conclude on 29 January with a visit to Feyenoord. In this format without traditional groups, Lille must finish in the top eight to advance directly to the round of 16 or be between 9th and 24th place to try to qualify via the play-offs.
