During the last few days, the provincial ruling party and Nos Une Río Negro raised a series of claims for errors made by the electoral authorities. They denounced that sections of the candidates of Juntos Somos Río Negro that were annexed in the ballots of the Radical Civic Union were not included. Finally, on Saturday following the Electoral Justice finalized the final scrutiny of the elections, some modifications arose, for which the ruling party added a new bench.
After the elections and the triumph of Juntos Somos Río Negro, Judge Carlos Da Silva accepted the request to “verify the reported inconsistencies”, so the polls were opened on Friday and the corrections were made that marked 384 more votes for JSRN .
The sum of the new votes allowed JSRN to add a new bench, including Lorena Yensen as legislator. The MPP member was summoned by Alberto Weretilneck to accompany Lucas Pica on the Alto Valle Oeste circuit.
Lorena is a lawyer specialized in environment and constitutional law, worked as a legislative adviser to legislator Elvis Cides. She was a member of the Popular Participation Movement (MPP) and during 2019 she was elected as a councilor in the management of Claudio Di Tella. During his tenure at the Deliberante, he made numerous project proposals that later became ordinances for the city.
His entry into the bench of legislators also modified the results of Cambia Río Negro, a movement led by Aníbal Tortoriello, who initially reported that the force included two legislators Patricia Mc Kiddi and Dianco Chiachiarini. Finally, the ARI candidate Chichiarini was left out of the elections.
With the election of Yensen, the pro-government bench will total 19 own members and Cambia Río Negro will have 13 legislators. They are completed with 5 for Nos Une Río Negro, 5 for Vamos con Todos, 2 for the UCR and 2 for Primero Río Negro.
