Bakti Olahraga Djarum Foundation Program Director, Yoppy Rosimin said, the implementation of the MilkLife Archery Challenge 2024 aims to foster the love of the Kudus community and its surroundings for the sport of archery, especially at the student level. Yoppy appreciated the high enthusiasm of the participants in the inaugural archery tournament.

“After popularizing women’s soccer and athletics, now we invite all residents of Kudus and its surroundings to get to know more about archery. Because we see that this sport has the potential to achieve achievements at the world level. Although it is the first time, we are grateful that the enthusiasm of the teachers and participants is quite good and exceeds expectations. Hopefully this will be a breath of fresh air that can be developed in the future, both in terms of developing athletes and increasing achievements,” said Yoppy.

He continued, at the provincial level, archery achievements in Kudus and its surroundings are still below Solo and Semarang. For that, Yoppy hopes that by holding the MilkLife Archery Challenge, potential seeds will emerge that can bring Kudus City to achieve even higher achievements, not only at the Central Java level but also at the national level.

“Our main target is that Kudus can have a regeneration of skilled archers. We are preparing the cadre of Kudus archers in a tiered and continuous manner, so that they can penetrate the top three in the province, then continue to the national level. Because Solo and Semarang have been in the top three in Central Java for decades,” he added.

In line with this, Deputy Chairman II of Development and Achievement of PB Perpani, Abdul Razak said, the support of Djarum Foundation and MilkLife by organizing the MilkLife Archery Challenge is a source of encouragement for stakeholders in the archery sport to improve their achievements. He is optimistic that the activity of popularizing archery will have a positive impact on the birth of athletes who will later defend Indonesia.

“So far, Central Java has been a barometer for archery. It was seen last year in the number of athletes who attended Pelatnas, there were six from Central Java. We hope that with the support of the Djarum Foundation and MilkLife, there will be an increasing supply of athletes from Central Java to Pelatnas which will boost the achievements of this sport at the world level. For that, we ask the organizers to hold this activity regularly,” said Abdul Razak.

The response was positive, Global Marketing Director of Dairi Alami as the producer of MilkLife milk, Soegiono, revealed that the implementation of the MilkLife Archery Challenge is in line with their vision of making Indonesian children healthy. He hopes that by routinely carrying out various sports activities and supported by complete and balanced nutritional intake such as MilkLife, it will produce a generation of high-achieving successors.

“In an effort to make Indonesian children healthy through quality milk products, we are committed to joining hands with Bakti Olahraga Djarum Foundation to hold tournaments that are positive for children’s growth and development. Not only creating fun but also making the future generation healthy and producing prospective athletes who will be the pride of the country, including in the archery sport that initiated Indonesia’s achievements in the Olympic arena,” said Soegiono.
