Long-distance relationships: communication as the key to success

The coronavirus pandemic has been a challenge for many areas of life, including partnerships. A special case are long-distance relationships. Although they were used to physical separation, the lockdowns gave them their own rules of the game, which they did not choose themselves. Communication was more important than ever.

Nutrition: One degree Celsius plus by 2100

A maximum of 1.5 degrees Celsius plus – that was set as a global goal at the Paris climate conference in 2015. Currently, however, one is heading for a warming of at least 2.7 degrees. Meat-heavy nutrition makes a particularly large contribution to global warming, and this is where important adjustments might be made to stop further warming.

Risk of death from cancer continues to decline

The risk of dying from cancer continues to decrease. This is shown by an international study for the EU and Great Britain. The physicians and researchers expect particularly significant declines in leukemia and stomach cancer, above all through better methods of food preservation, healthier nutrition and a decrease in Helicobacter pylori infections – this germ can cause stomach inflammation and also cancer.
