London/Belfast – Great Britain wants to largely end the controls on trade between Northern Ireland and the rest of the United Kingdom introduced following Brexit. As the British government announced on Wednesday, routine checks will no longer be carried out and the vast majority of goods will no longer be checked. A corresponding change in the law is to be adopted by the House of Commons in London on Thursday. This enables an end to the political crisis in Northern Ireland.
