A sexual predator who assaulted a young teenage girl in public on the London Underground will no longer be allowed to stand behind or near a woman he doesn’t know in public, a court in London, England has ruled.

Last October, 32-year-old Abdulrizak Ali Hersi was arrested by plainclothes officers following he sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl, who had just boarded the London Underground with her family, reports The Mirror on Monday.

Witness to the scene, the officers of the British Transport Police (BTP) would have immediately seized the man, who was near the door, to pull him outside and put him in handcuffs.

“Our undercover team is specially trained to identify dangerous sex offenders like Hersi, who do their best to commit their crime unnoticed. […] The victim and his family did not even realize what was happening until the officers intervened quickly, “said Inspector Sharon Turner, of the BTP, according to the British media.

On May 5, the 30-year-old was sentenced to 18 months in prison following being found guilty of sexual assault, and he will no longer be allowed “to intentionally stand behind or near a woman he does not know in public”, and this, for a period of 10 years, ruled the Court of the Interior Crown of London.
