In the UK, London police have arrested a 17-year-old for allegedly hacking the Uber transport company.
The National Cyber Crimes Unit of the United Kingdom together with the City of London Police announced the arrest of the teenager on Friday.
The young man, whose name cannot be identified for legal reasons, was arrested on Thursday night, and remains in police custody, highlights an official statement, this while the investigations progress, since the adolescent has a criminal record.
Even so, the media reveal that it is the hacker ‘TeaPot‘, who bragged regarding how he had breached Uber’s networks and leaked 90 videos.
Including having leaked advance images of the long-awaited game «Grand Theft Auto VI» de Take-Two Interactive Software Inc.
The arrest was made in Oxfordshire and given the age of the suspect, cybersecurity experts are quite sure that this is the supposed leader of the Lapsus$ criminal group, portals point out.

It’s not the first time
This type of operation, apparently, is not the only one that has occurred in United Kingdomand in which they have teenagers as protagonists.
It is worth remembering that in April, the London police charged two teenagers aged 16 and 17 with computer hacking. But, these were bailed out ahead of a trial scheduled for July 2023.
