LOL Indonesia’s latest comedy series: Yang Ketawa Kalah will air exclusively on Prime Video starting July 11, 2024 and will feature 10 popular Indonesian comedians, who will compete for prizes worth hundreds of millions of Rupiah.
“This is a global hit show that has been successful in 20 countries, and this year, Indonesia is one of the countries chosen to adapt it,” said Indra, as show runner of LOL Indonesia: Yang Ketawa Kalah, Tuesday (2/7).
He added, “Why is this an interesting event? There are 10 of the best comedians in Indonesia, gathered in one room and they have to make the other participants laugh without them being allowed to laugh.”
For six hours straight, the participants will be cracking jokes at each other, but they are not allowed to laugh.

If they laugh, the participant will be eliminated and one participant who manages to survive without laughing until the end will get a cash prize of Rp. 300 million and the title of Ruler of the Comedy Galaxy.
Interestingly, LOL Indonesia: Yang Ketawa Kalah has a different concept compared to LOL in other countries, namely a comedy galaxy theme.
Therefore, the shooting location of this series was designed to resemble an aircraft carrier in space, and the actors involved in it were called using special terms.

There is Pandji Pragiwaksono as Commander or main host in LOL Indonesia: Yang Ketawa Kalah, as well as the participants who are called Lords.
The ten comedians who are involved in this comedy series are Cak Lontong, Andre Taulany, Denny Cagur, Rina Nose, Indra Jegel, Gilang Dirga, Ivan Gunawan, Asri Welas, Marshel Widianto, and Dicky Difie.
Furthermore, Indra said there were many considerations before he and his team finally chose the 10 comedians for this event. Starting from comedy skills to the age of each participant so that they can embrace audiences of all ages.

Interestingly, it took almost a year of editing for the series before LOL Indonesia: Yang Ketawa Kalah might finally be aired this year.
This is because of the large number of cameras used (up to 30 cameras) and other challenges, so the production team needed more time to complete the editing process for this comedy series.
“This is one of the most complex productions, and I think it’s one of the most challenging productions I’ve ever been involved in,” said Indra.
LOL Indonesia: Yang Ketawa Kalah will be released alongside two other Southeast Asian versions of LOL, “LOL: Last One Laughing Philippines and LOL: Last One Laughing Thailand, both of which will premiere earlier on July 4, 2024. (Ant/Z-1)
