He has held the Swiss high jump record (2.33 meters) since May 2021. He was vice-world indoor champion in March 2022. He has long dreamed of a final feat at the Paris Olympics. But he will finally not jump anymore in 2024. Held back by the ankle of his call leg, the Vaudois Loïc Gasch announced this week that he would end his sports career following participating in Weltklasse, this Thursday at Letzigrund in Zurich .
