Hannes Kolb (52), a business economist, will take over the management of Lohberger GmbH, based in Schalchen, together with Frank Thüringer, on September 1, 2024. This marks a change in leadership from Reinhard Hanusch, who has taken on new responsibilities within Austro Holding after 20 years at the helm of Lohberger.
Lohberger will be one hundred years old in 2025. The company, which employs around 300 people, produces and sells commercial kitchens, wood stoves and ovens.
According to a press release, Kolb, who comes from Vienna, brings with him extensive experience in the manufacturing industry. After studying business administration in Vienna, he began his career as an export manager and gained his first international sales experience. 25 years ago, the married father of two children moved to the household appliance industry, where he initially headed marketing and subsequently held various management positions in Austria and Germany for 15 years. Five of these years were in the production and sales of commercial kitchens.
“In addition to all of his professional qualifications and experience, Hannes Kolb stands out for his ability as a team builder and his hands-on mentality. With his comprehensive know-how and committed approach, he will lead Lohberger GmbH into a continued economically secure future,” said Kerstin Gelbmann, CEO of Austro Holding AG, to which the company belongs.
