An exceptional event took place this Wednesday at the Swiss Tech Center at EPFL, during Logitech’s annual general meeting of shareholders. Exceptional for two reasons. Firstly, because the vast majority of these assemblies are very often formal meetings where there are no flashes. Then, because it concerns Logitech, one of the flagships of Swiss technology. However this Wednesday, Daniel Borel, co-founder of the multinational, called for a change in the presidency of the board of directors.
Daniel Borel, for the record, is a man who means a lot at Logitech. He was its co-founder in 1981, with Pierluigi Zappacosta and Giacomo Marini. He has been its director, administrator, president, honorary president since 2016 and remains the largest individual shareholder, with approximately 1.5% of the shares. Logitech is currently worth some $10.8 billion on the stock market.
