Logitech: G Fits earbud tips fit all ears

Reserved until now for audiophiles and amateurs of good sound rather fortunate, custom molded headphones are beginning to become more popular. Logitech hopes to seduce gamers (and why not, all users in general) with the G Fitsintra-auriculars which have the particularity of integrating a molding system for their tips according to the shape of the auditory canal.

The LEDs in the Lightform process heat the gel in the earmold, allowing it to conform to the contours of the ear canal (without burning the ears). After 60 seconds, the headphones are perfectly adapted to the wearer’s ears. Ultimate Ears, a Logitech brand, uses the same principle for its UE Fits.

With these well-plugged ears, there is no need for active noise reduction, which also saves battery power. The headphones provide 10 hours of audio listening time with a Bluetooth connection, and an additional 12 hours with the charging case.

Logitech adds a connectivity option, the Lightspeed, which offers better audio performance but you will have to connect a USB-C or USB-A dongle to your Mac, PC or console (we like dongles too much, at Logitech). In Lightspeed, battery life drops to 7 hours, with an additional 8 hours using the case.

The G Fits will be available next month, in black and white, for $299.
