Although it has been greatly eroded by mobile games, there is still a market for handheld game consoles that can be taken away. The representative product is the Nintendo Switch, a cross-border work that is a global bestseller and is between home game consoles and handheld game consoles; There are still manufacturers launching similar products, and now even Logitech, a major computer accessories manufacturer, is also participating.
Logitech issued a press release today (2) stating that its e-sports brand Logitech G will cooperate with Tencent Games to jointly launch a handheld game device that integrates Logitech’s hardware expertise and Tencent Games’ software services. It will support cloud gaming platforms including XBOX Cloud Gaming and NVIDIA GeForce NOW, allowing users to play AAA masterpieces at any time.
Logitech pointed out that cloud gaming mainly calculates the game screen through the data center server and streams the game screen to the user, so the user does not need to download and install the game.
However, Logitech’s press release did not elaborate on the details of the collaboration between the two, nor did it reveal any information regarding the device, only that the device would be officially announced later this year.
