The logistics market in Brazil is expected to reach 129.3 billion dollars by 2029. In direct conversion, this value represents around 645 billion reais. This is what one points out search carried out by the American company Mordor Intelligence.
These promising data indicated by the study propose to Brazilian industries the challenge of keeping up with the development of the sector, more specifically in the face of new technologies that emerge every day such as the use of solutions in IoT (Internet of Things), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Logistics 4.0.
“In a suitable scenario, the adaptation of these actors in the logistics market aims to carry out assertive planning at all stages of the logistics chain, aiming to maximize profits”, highlights Jazeel Santos, director of the logistics division of the GPS Group.
For the executive, the integration of this entire process, from receipt of goods to final delivery to the consumer, reduces the time for each stage, reduces inventories and provides companies with essential flexibility to deal with changes in demand.
Exclusive technology:
Like other areas, the industry environment is also increasingly digitalized, demanding more investments in high connectivity, technological innovations and digital transformation.
According to the executive, the GPS Group has an exclusive management system, developed to manage operations and record the services provided. The system can show the customer whether what was planned is being carried out, in how long and by how many people. If a task is not completed, it is escalated, meaning the superior will be in charge of resolving it.
The digital platforms and resources offered by the company also include intelligent vehicles with autonomous refueling and technologies for warehouse automation. These technologies are designed to increase operational efficiency, optimize available space and accommodate as many products as possible.
Integrated Logistics 4.0:
Logistics 4.0 is an advanced supply chain management approach that combines not only technologies and innovations. It involves the power of adaptability on the part of managers of a logistics operation, whether due to the specific challenges required in each operation or the intrinsic characteristics of each type of industry.
Another fundamental point to note in Integrated Logistics 4.0 is the capacity for performance analysis driven by tracking technologies and integrated management systems, artificial intelligence, robotics and big data.
“When we can guarantee that the entire logistics process is integrated by companies that share the same technologies and the same procedural methodologies, we have full transparency of the entire process. And any adjustments that contribute to optimizing performance and significant gains in results are made with impressive speed. It’s like a relay race where everyone knows exactly where, when and how the baton should change hands”, concludes Jazeel Santos.
Technology is transforming the way industries deal with logistics demands. Logistics 4.0, with its integrated and advanced approach, offers a series of benefits for companies, such as increased productivity, reduced costs, improved efficiency and flexibility to deal with changes in demand.
