Logan Sargent finishes 4th in the 2022 FIA-F2 Championship. His F1 debut for Williams in 2023 has been confirmed.

Williams has announced that it will appoint Logan Sargent as a driver for 2023 on the condition that he acquires an F1 super license. He ran four free practice sessions including Abu Dhabi to help him earn his license points.

Logan Sargent was entering the FIA-F2 finale of his inaugural season with 30 super license points from his F3 performance over the past two years and FP1 starts.

The final round was faced with a life-or-death situation in which the 40 points F1 super license point condition was met in the final race with a ranking of 6th or higher. Logan Sargent had a solid race, finishing 6th in the sprint and 5th in the feature race. Finished the F2 season in 4th place with Rookie of the Year and added 30 points. Promotion to F1 was decided.

Williams has yet to make an official announcement, but this confirms all F1 seats for 2023. Also, Mick Schumacher, whose last hope was an empty seat at Williams, has decided to leave F1.
