Logan Mailloux helped on the game-winning goal in overtime as the London Knights posted a 3-2 victory over the Owen Sound Attack on Tuesday.
The Knights lead the first-round series in the OHL 3-0 and will be able to wipe out Thursday in Game 4.
The Montreal Canadiens defenseman and prospect headed the puck to the net shortly following the halfway point of the first overtime period. Teammate Ryan Humphrey picked up the puck to push it into the back of the net to get the celebrations started.
Denver Barkey scored the first two goals of the game for the Knights.
The defeat is hard to take for Owen Sound and the choice of the fourth round of the CH in 2022, Cédrick Guindon. The latter registered a goal and an assist to help his team keep pace with the Knights.
In another series, Habs prospect Owen Beck scored in a 5-3 win for the Peterborough Petes over the Sudbury Wolves. The Petes are in command of the series 3-0.
