Locking Down Security: Ministry of Justice Arms Prisons with High-Powered Shotguns

Asunción, IP Agency.- The General Directorate of Penitentiary Establishments of the Ministry of Justice received 30 12-gauge shotguns with their respective ammunition, which were donated by the Directorate of War Material (Dimabel), to support the internal security of the penitentiary system.

The ceremony of delivery and reception of the donation took place at the Dimabel headquarters, in Piribebuy, with the presence of the director of the Directorate of War Material, Melanio Salomón Servín Aquino; David Rivarola, head of the War Park and Rubén Peña, general director of Penitentiary Establishments.

General Servin stated on the occasion that in a short time they will deliver more donations to the Ministry of Justice, to guarantee control and discipline in the prison system.

For his part, Colonel Peña, on behalf of the Minister of Justice, Rodrigo Nicora, thanked the donation of weapons and ammunition, as well as the support for the gunsmith mechanics course for penitentiary agents that is currently taking place at Dimabel.
