Local inspection: Karner at job fair in Vienna

On March 3, 2023, Minister of the Interior Gerhard Karner visited the BMI information stand at Austria’s largest education and careers fair in the Wiener Stadthalle.

Vienna (OTS) For four days at the so-called “BeSt” in the Wiener Stadthalle, everything revolves around work, studies and further education. This year, the Ministry of the Interior, together with the Vienna State Police Headquarters, has an information stand to answer questions from potentially interested parties. The Federal Agency for care and support services is also represented at the fair.

“The Ministry of the Interior offers a large number of jobs that are varied and demanding at the same time,” said Interior Minister Gerhard Karner during a visit to the BMI information stand on March 3, 2023 in the Wiener Stadthalle. Anyone who is interested in a professional future in the field of internal security can obtain comprehensive information at the job and study fair. “At the information stand of the Ministry of the Interior, employees of the central office are available to answer all questions,” added Karner.

Wide range of information

In addition to information regarding the police profession, committed young people can also find out regarding career opportunities in the administration this year. The Ministry of the Interior offers the apprenticeship of administrative trainees as well as jobs for high school graduates, but also lawyers.

The stand of the BMI and the LPD Vienna can be found in Hall D of the Wiener Stadthalle. The fair is open with free entry on Saturday, March 4, 2023 (9 a.m. to 6 p.m.) and on Sunday, March 5, 2023 (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.).
