Lizzo is fed up with many people commenting on her. The singer therefore says that she is “quitting it”. It is not clear what exactly she means by that.
“I’m tired of being dragged along by everyone in my life and on the internet. All I want is to make music, make people happy and make the world a little better than how I found it,” 35-year-old Lizzo writes on Instagram. However, the Grammy winner is “starting to feel like the world doesn’t want her.”
“I constantly have to fight against lies that are told about me,” says Lizzo. She also says that she is always the butt of jokes about her appearance. “I don’t feel like doing this. I quit.”
Last week, Lizzo defended herself against criticism of her appearance in an interview with The New York Times. “My body is nobody’s business,” she said at the time. The singer was also confronted with several accusations of inappropriate behavior in the past year.
