A rather curious event took place in Free Practice 1 of the Singapore Grand Prix, as during the hour-long run some lizards invaded the Marina Bay circuit, forcing the drivers to manoeuvre.

Max Verstappen and the Red Bull team had a curious and fun moment as a result of this, because when the Dutchman informed his mechanics about this fact, they joked that ‘Godzilla had had a son’.

Lizards invade the Singapore GP

During this P1 on the Marina Bay circuit, at different times we saw the drivers opening to the side or reducing their speed considerably, and it was all due to these ‘invading friends’.

Lizards appeared in some corners of the Singapore GP and fortunately for all the drivers they saw them in time, avoiding taking any of them in their quest to clock the best possible time.

Max Verstappen, in a curious moment, starred in the following dialogue with the Red Bull team, a fact that generated laughter on social networks:

Ah! There’s a lizard on the track again! This time it’s a smaller one. Got it, maybe Godzilla had a son.

In another section of the track George Russell found another lizard, but he has such a good eye that he even knows how to differentiate them, because through the radio he informed his team that “there is another lizard, but this one is different from the one the first time.” ”.

When and at what time is the P2 run in Marina Bay?

The next free practice will take place this Friday, September 15, which will begin at 7:00 a.m. (central Mexico time) and you will be able to watch it on FOX Sports, in addition to the FOX Sports Premium app.
