Liz Cheney agrees that Trump is a fascist

In an interview with NBC News she does not want to distance herself from a statement that former chief of defense Mark Milley has made in the book “War”, written by journalist Bob Woodward. Here Milley says that Trump is “completely fascist”.

– I have enormous respect for General Milley, and I see no reason to disagree with him on that assessment, says Cheney.

Milley was the US defense chief under both Trump and President Joe Biden. In the book, he comes up with harsh characteristics of his former boss.

– He is the most dangerous person ever. I had my suspicions when I talked to you about his mental decay and so on, but now I realize that he is a full-on fascist. He is now the most dangerous man for this country, says Milley in the book, which is published on Tuesday. However, much of the content has been leaked in advance.

– Love tyrants

Liz Cheney also strongly warns against what Trump might do if he becomes president again.

– He is not going to respect the decisions of our courts, she says and warns that the US could become a country without legal order if Trump is allowed to do as he wants.

– The people who prevented him from carrying out his worst wishes last time are not going to be there again, says Cheney.

She also calls Trump “fundamentally evil”, and accuses him of lying to people to secure political advancement. She maintains that US foreign policy will become chaotic if Trump comes to power again.

– Donald Trump loves tyrants. He adores them, she claims.

Archconservative

Cheney is a former Republican congressman. She has given clear support to Kamala Harris’s candidacy and has also campaigned with her.

Initially, she was known as an arch-conservative politician like her father, former Vice President Dick Cheney. But she has been ostracized by her own party after she voted in favor of Trump being impeached after the congressional storming in January 2021.

The spokesman for Trump’s election campaign, Steven Cheung, over the weekend branded Milley a “train wreck” suffering from “Trump confusion syndrome”. He also blames Milley for the chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan, according to another email Newsweek.
