Christine Bergeron, who contracted the long form of the disease, has the impression of being a prisoner of her body for almost three years.

Alice Trahan met her. See his report in the video linked to the article.

“I caught COVID on January 26, 2021. Since then, my life has been turned upside down. I was active, I did lots of activities, motorcycles, I went outdoors,” says Ms. Bergeron.

Today, his standard of living is no longer comparable at all. A simple five-minute walk exhausts him now.

“You feel like you’re dragging a ball and chain. It’s very heavy. Whether you slept seven, eight, nine or 10 hours, it’s as if you slept an hour.”

In addition to continually feeling very tired, Christine Bergeron also has to deal with incessant shortness of breath. “Everything makes me breathless, it all causes coughing, a lot of dizziness, joint pain,” she lists. Even his memory is affected today.

Ms. Bergeron now places her hopes in the discovery of a drug to treat her condition or at least improve her living conditions.
