LIVING Last Minute Summer Trip: München

Motorworld Munich

Munich’s Motorworld – probably not known to many – offers space for mobile passion at a historically important location in the Freimann district. Since the 1920s, 1000s of locomotives have been serviced and repaired in the former Deutsche Bahn repair shop. Today, various buildings on the site are under monument protection, including the huge locomotive hall, the more than 40 meter high water tower and the former boiler forge, which is now used as an event location. More than 25 of the world’s most valuable and exclusive vehicle brands, a wide range of service providers and specialized workshops, numerous shops, the four-star Hotel AMERON Munich and a wide range of restaurants have found a new home in this world of automotive experience.

During a guided tour, there are not only well-known classics, old and youngtimers, collector’s vehicles or luxury automobiles to be discovered in 120 glass boxes, but also the former white BMW convertible by rock’n’roll icon Elvis Presley.
