English Liverpool qualified for the eighth final of the European Football League, following its great 4-0 victory over its Alex Reed LASK Linz, Austria, on Thursday evening, in the fifth (penultimate) round of the fifth group stage of the continental competition, which also witnessed a scoreless draw with French club Toulouse with its Alex Reed. In the second group, Olympique Marseille of France and Brighton of England qualified for the knockout rounds.

Brighton won with a clean goal over its host AEK Athens in Greece, while Marseille beat its Alex Reed Ajax Amsterdam 4-3 in the Netherlands.

Marseille occupies first place with 11 points, one point ahead of its closest competitor, Brighton, while AEK Athens occupies third place with 4 points, and Ajax is at the bottom of the standings with two points.
