Colombian Luis Díaz scored two goals just two minutes apart in Liverpool’s 3-0 victory over Bournemouth yesterday, to momentarily claim top spot in the Premier League.

The Colombian striker beat goalkeeper Kepa in the 26th minute to open the scoring. At 28′ the lead increased for the locals.

The Uruguayan Darwin Núñez put definitive figures in the 37th minute in a play that originated from the right.

Julián Araujo, Mexican defender, started and played 69 minutes.

The Reds reached 12 points, the same as Manchester City, who will play this morning at home against Arsenal. While Bournemouth fell to 13th. position, staying with 5.

IN ANOTHER duel with a Mexican on the field, Edson Álvarez started and played 54 minutes in West Ham’s 3-0 home loss to Chelsea.

Nicolas Jackson, Senegalese forward, scored a double (4′ and 18′) in what was his 50th game with the “blues”. He also assisted Cole Palmer at the beginning of the second half (47′) for the third and final goal.

This was the third victory this season for Chelsea, all of them away from home, and with this one they reached fourth place with 10 points.

While Julen Lopetegui, new West Ham coach, is already under pressure after adding three defeats in the new Premier League season. They were left with four units in 14th place.

MANCHESTER UNITED remain in the middle of the table after they missed several opportunities and drew 0-0 on their visit to Crystal Palace.

United remains 11th. and Crystal Palace are 16th.

IN OTHER RESULTS, Aston Villa came from behind to beat Wolverhampton 3-1 at home. It took the Villains less than 20 minutes to tie and turn the result around.

Everton could not get out of the last places after drawing 1-1 with Leicester.

Finally, Tottenham defeated Brentford 3-1 at home.— ap
