Liverpool FC will be able to count on their goalscorer Mohamed Salah in the years to come.
The Egyptian star striker has signed a new contract with the Reds that will keep him at the club until 2025. According to “Sky Sports”, the 30-year-old will receive a weekly salary of £350,000 in the future. There are also performance-related bonuses, for example for goals. This makes Salah the highest-paid player in club history.
Recently there has been speculation that the attacker might leave Liverpool in a year at the latest. Then his previous contract expired. But that’s not the case: Salah sees his future with this year’s Champions League finalists for at least three more years.
“I feel great and look forward to winning all the trophies with the club. It’s a happy day for everyone. Everything is finally done,” Salah is quoted as saying when signing the contract. Talks regarding the extension dragged on for several months and have now been successfully concluded.
